Losing The ONE You Love

Sometimes the beauty of life is reminded through experiencing death. Opposition plays an important part in the plan toward happiness.

Death does not always mean you stop breathing. Sometimes you lose someone you love because of their actions, their behavior.

Losing the one you love ~ Positive Mom Motivation

I have lost many I love; my grandpa passed in April 2009,  and it was painful to know I would not listen to his inspiring voice or feel his comforting and loving arms around me.

However, the person I am talking about today is myself. Yes…I lost myself, not once, but twice, and while I’ve been close to physical death several times, I’m not even referring to that.

There comes a point in your life where you look back and see the YOU you loved to be and sadly find out, you are NOT that person anymore.

I realized I was not myself. I didn’t do the things I loved to do. I felt as if I was living an extension of someone else’s life. I realized that nothing feels better than being myself.

I am short, silly, friendly, love being a mom, love to sing and don’t have the voice for it, love to dance, love to read, love to be outdoors, love kids, love to read, love animals, enjoy reading and going to church, love to help and teach others. And I decided to live my life in a way that brings meaning and joy to my soul.

I once heard someone say: “People think the worst thing is losing the one you love in your life. But the truth is the worst thing in life is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much”.

Whatever it is that caused it: an addiction, a relationship, a career…losing the YOU you love can happen in a flash and without you realizing it.

The good news is you can get back on track. You can be YOU again. You can live the life you love to live. You can live a happy life. You can live a healthy life. You can live a positive life. You can find joy, peace and achieve your goals.

Remember what I always say: “You can’t share what you don’t have”. Find out who you are and what makes you happy. Don’t lose the YOU you love. Live YOUR life, find the beauty of it and share it with others.

Like Gandhi said “Be the change you wish to see in the world!” , use your God-given gifts and share them with the world.

You’re beautiful!
