As I celebrate Easter Sunday today, I do not think about bunnies, eggs, chocolate, or even dinner arrangements.
I am beyond grateful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for his infinite, eternal, and everlasting sacrifice, convinced that HE rises, that HE indeed LIVES.
I Google everything, so I was disappointed to find that the word RISEN brings up results of a movie and video game that are short of spiritual, to say the least.
So, I went to the dictionary… and here are all the definitions I found: rise (r

To assume a standing position after lying, sitting, or kneeling.
To get out of bed
To move from a lower to a higher position; ascend.

To appear above the horizon.
To extend upward; be prominent.
To slant or slope upward.
To come into existence; originate.
To be erected.
To appear at the surface of the water or the earth; emerge.
To puff up or become larger; swell up.
To become stiff and erect.
To attain a higher status.
To become apparent to the mind or senses.
To uplift oneself to meet a demand or challenge.
To return to life.
As we celebrate the Resurrection, let us RISE as He did and teach our children to rise every day, get up, stand firm and tall, and not only enjoy but seize the new life, the new day they are given.
