Taking It Personal

I always invest in my personal and business development and encourage others to do so.

This morning, I was in a call for a program called “60 Days To Sales Success” and learned great strategies I can implement in growing professionally. I did, however, take many things PERSONAL:

She said: Spend 80% of your time doing the top 20% activities that are going to make you money.
I heard: Spend 80% of your time doing the top 20% activities that are going to make you happy.

She said: Get clear in the top 20% – who are the top clients? There are clients that are wasting your time!
I heard: Get clear in your top 20! Who are your top supporters? There are people that are wasting your time!

She said: It’s an effective time to let go of clients. Complete whatever contract or agreement you had with them, then refer them to someone else.
I heard: It’s a great time to let go of people who bring stress or drama into our lives. Get closure; free up your time [and their time] so it can be enjoyed with other people.

She said: Create an intentional schedule that supports your goals.
I heard: Create an intentional schedule that reflects and supports your values and your priorities.

You probably think I’m delusional…and that’s okay.

I have learned that we are given strategic messages in very unexpected places. I call them “signs” because I see life as a journey.

My “end of the year resolution” is to fully follow these principles and let go of what’s “useless”, what doesn’t serve.

I remember when I lived in Ocoa, ladies in the entire town would clean everything up in the house, including dishes and laundry, on December 31st to start the new year clean. As we clean up our lives, feelings, and emotions, to enter the new year clean and pure, I am positive that new beautiful people and situations will show up for me… and for you!
