I just finished watching Wonder The Movie. My daughters have read Wonder the book and they warned me that I was in for a good cry. I am a crying mess right now. A beautiful mess.

In a nutshell, Wonder follows the inspiring story of the Pullman family, whose youngest child, Auggie, is a boy born with facial differences. When Auggie enters mainstream elementary school for the first time, after being homeschooled, his extraordinary journey unites his family, his school, and his community, and proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. 

This heartwarming story about kindness, love, and friendship really hit home as a homeschool mom, having navigated through the harrowing damage that bullying can do to a child – to a family. 

Even though Wonder The Movie is based on the #1 New York Times bestseller, and USA Today‘s top-selling book of 2017, by R.J. Palacio, writer-director Stephen Chbosky (Beauty and the Beast, The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Wonder is an uplifting story that everyone must watch because like this boy who inspires and teaches others that true beauty is found within, we can practice the lessons in our day-to-day life.
