My friend Kathy reached out to some amazing companies to help some of us moms have a fun workout date.
It was cold and I was feeling all my old aches and pains again – like Humpty Dumpty with my injuries, scars, and mended bones.
I was praying I had electricity and an Internet connection to make the Zoom meeting – and God said YES.
If you know me well, then you know I don’t normally think working out is fun, especially when there’s gaming involved, but I really really really loved this gaming workout.
It lasts only 3 minutes, which is just about all the time I can dedicate to “working on my fitness” (as Fergie would say). Yes, I said 3 MINUTES.
The workout included Matt Morton teaching us how to use the Stealth Plank Board. He was super encouraging and patient.
The workout really works and you feel it in your core – the gaming your core thing is real!
And if gaming is your thing, then you’re in luck because the games are fun. I am not a gamer… I had never done (?) a game in my entire life, so naturally, my score was ridiculous.
But to be honest, I don’t care much scores because I’m not competitive, but it made me laugh so hard – and I needed that laugh – and a strong core!
My workout was possible courtesy of Suja juices. With the Texas crisis we went some time without being able to cook – no fridge, no stove! We still don’t have water!!!
So having these cold press juices kept me strong, especially since I need to breastfeed my little nena.
I was also able to try the Chi Universe Yoga, which made it super easy. And one of my goals this year is to practice more yoga, so I’m all set now!
