As you already know, Elisha has been learning to drive. She’s had a permit for a while now and she took some driving lessons and did amazingly well.

Between my car trauma and my concerns as a mom, this journey has been very emotional for me. I feel the pressure that it’s on me to help her complete the required driving time so she can get her license, and though we’ve done remarkably the few times we’ve been out, it’s a struggle for me and it drains all my energy.

Elisha has been so patient with me and I’m so grateful. She’s so excited to get her license because she dreams of driving so I don’t have to. I always joke that if I were a multi-millionaire, the only luxury I would gladly have is a chauffeur, and she wants to be that for me. I have the sweetest daughters in the universe!

I am excited to visit the Dallas Fort Worth Auto Show with Elisha this year and not only have a fun time around cars and talking about cars, which hasn’t been the case, but also to get our questions answered and to look at the best options in safety features, so my baby girl is protected on the road and so this broken mom doesn’t have a panic attack every time she’s behind the wheel.

I have truly enjoyed it so much every single year and I know you will too!

• Wednesday, March 27: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursday, March 28: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday, March 29: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, March 30: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, March 31: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St., Dallas, TX 75202

Price:

• $14 for ages 18 and above
• $14 for adults
• $7 for senior citizens 65 and older
• $7 for children 6 to 12 years old; children 5 and under are admitted free
• $10 for military with ID
• $1 discount coupons (off regular admission) available at participating franchised new car dealerships

Winners may be asked to provide identification to receive their prize. Prize value $30 per prize, not exchangeable for cash or other items. Grand prize value is $130. A total of 10 pairs of tickets will be awarded and a total of 1 grand prize will be awarded.
