Decisions and choices sound scary at times and it’s no mystery that we decide how to live our lives. It is a choice we make each day, each hour, each minute. It is beautifully described in this nursery rhyme:

Gently Down The Stream
Merrily Merrily Merrily Merrily
Life Is But A Dream
We are all on our own journey to our own destination. We each have a boat to row. Depending upon where you are on the stream, you will face obstacles or challenges, some other spots will be more serene. Sometimes you’ll get soaked. Enjoy the show!
The secret is to row merrily. I first heard this nursery rhyme when I was 13 and learning English. I remember observing that it said Row 3 times and Merrily 4 times. Today I can decode why:
Life’s journey is not just about ROWING. Hard work can take you places, for sure. Hard work and the right attitude can take you there and make you happy! Your “Merry Attitude” must be even greater than the strength and tenacity of your work.
Thomas Jefferson once said, “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude
from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude”.
You can find happiness amidst the heavy currents. It is your choice to live “la vida” happy. My life is much less than perfect, but it’s mine…and I’m happy to share it with my little ones, too.
Decide to love your life and to merrily row your boat down the stream. Life is but a dream!
