I Attended The Ralph Breaks The Internet Premiere With The Disney Princesses

I just got back from Los Angeles and I am still in awe that I actually attended the Ralph Breaks The Internet Premiere with the Disney Princesses! Someone pixie-dust pinch me!

In Ralph Breaks The Internet, Vanellope and Ralph leave Litwak’s arcade and travel to the Internet in a quest to save her game, Sugar Rush.

Vanellope goes into Oh My Disney Dot Com and finds herself in a room with all the Disney Princesses.

The Disney Princess characters in Ralph Breaks The Internet were performed by many of the original voice actors: Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in Tangled), Paige O’Hara (Belle from Beauty and The Beast), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana of Princess and The Frog), Linda Larkin (Jasmine from Aladdin), Kelly Macdonald (Merida from Brave), Jodi Benson (Ariel in The Little Mermaid), Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel (Anna and Elsa of Frozen), Ming Na Wen (Mulan), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), and Auli’i Cravalho (Moana).

I was able to witness this epic royal reunion at the last D23 Expo when most of the princesses took the stage and we saw the whole princess scene for Ralph Breaks The Internet before any other audiences. Yes- there is more than you see in the trailer.

And as if this was not enough, I was able to walk the Hollywood red carpet with many of the Disney Princesses for the Wreck It Ralph 2 World Premiere, and we enjoyed this sweet, funny, and groundbreaking animated movie together.

HOLLYWOOD, CA - NOVEMBER 05: (L-R) Actors Irene Bedard voice of Pocahontas, Kate Higgins voice of Aurora, Jennifer Hale voice of Cinderella, Jodi Benson voice of Ariel, Mandy Moore voice of Rapunzel, Sarah Silverman voice of Vanellope, Ming-Na Wen voice of Mulan, Paige O'Hara voice of Belle, Linda Larkin voice of Jasmine, Auli'i Cravalho voice of Moana, and Pamela Ribon voice of Snow White attend the World Premiere of Disney's "RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET" at the El Capitan Theatre on November 5, 2018 in Hollywood, California. Many of the voice actresses behind the Disney Princesses were in the Ralph Breaks The Internet after party at the Roosevelt Hotel, as well, so you can imagine how emotional I was attending a classic Disney Princess meetup! I mean, I went to the movies and partied with Vanellope, and the original voices of Rapunzel, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Pocahontas, Moana, and MULAN!

And speaking of Mulan… The red carpet was blue and the decor matched my oriental dress to perfection. My dress was Ping-inspired because I wanted a Mulan WARRIOR cosplay.

I wore a lotus flower hair pin, lotus flower bracelet, and lotus flower earrings, because like MULAN, I bloom in adversity.

I was a bit nervous about the look, but I kept getting compliments about the dress, so my Facebook friends were right! Good news is I didn’t know how long my hair was until I wore it straight! What do you think of the look?

And back to the Disney Princess gathering, another epic moment was taking a group Disney Princess picture with my fellow princess bloggers.

Some were cosplaying, others were disneybounding, and all were excited when Ralph Breaks The Internet co-writer Pamela Ribon joined us in the shot. Pamela Ribon voices Snow White in Ralph Breaks The Internet! You’ll find out just how talented and fun she is when you read my upcoming interview.

Other newer Disney Princess voice actresses in attendance for Vanellope and Ralph’s big day were Kate Higgins (Aurora in Sleeping Beauty) and Jennifer Hale (Cinderella).

Of course, filmmakers, personalities, and voice actors across Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Co. were present to celebrate Ralph Breaks The Internet World Premiere day.

As I walked the carpet, I immediately saw filmmakers Rich Moore (director), Phil Johnston (director/screenwriter), and Clark Spencer (producer), whom I interviewed a few months ago. I also ran into Jennifer Lee (executive producer) at the after party. So amazing!

The voice talent in attendance included John C. Reilly (video-game bad guy Wreck It Ralph), Taraji P. Henson (the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”), Jack McBrayer (Fix-It Felix), Jane Lynch (Sergeant Calhoun), Alan Tudyk (KnowsMore), and the one and only, Sarah Silverman (Vanellope Von Schweetz).

Sarah Silverman looked so fabulous in a strapless, royal blue Lela Rose gown, but she was wearing army boots underneath. She was wearing a black hoodie and jeans for the movie and at the premiere after party, and I just loved how she totally rocked the comfy princess look.

BEHIND THE WHEEL -- “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” introduces Shank, a tough and talented driver in an intense online racing game called Slaughter Race. When Vanellope finds herself in a street race with Shank, her Sugar Rush driving skills are put to the test—and Shank is impressed. Shank’s approach to racing—and life in general—opens Vanellope’s eyes to the limitless possibilities of the internet and the excitement of a new world that feels like home to her. Featuring Gal Gadot as the voice of Shank, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 21, 2018. ©2018 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

I was sad that Gal Gadot was not at the Ralph Breaks The Internet Premiere, but just so you know, she voices edgy racer Shank from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, and she did amazing on her first animated role!

When my daughters found out that Imagine Dragons performed on Hollywood Boulevard to premiere the song “Zero” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, they were fangirling hard. The song is amazing because it speaks to the “I’m not good enough” syndrome we moms know so well.

Other fun appearances on the Ralph Breaks The Internet red carpet were Josh Gad, Michael Giacchino, Melissa Joan Hart, and Christina Milian.

I was amazed that some Internet influencers and personalities were in attendance, such as Laina Morris (Overly Attached GF), Candace Payne (Chewbacca Mask Lady), Carter Wilkerson (Nuggs for Carter). Isn’t that cool?

I had a lot of fun at the Ralph Breaks The Internet premiere after party. My friends enjoyed food and drinks, while I took advantage of some cool photo opps, including turning myself into a net user. Remember we talked about the netizens, too?

I also met Ralph and Vanellope. I’m living the childhood I never had, really.

One of my favorite parts of this particular red carpet experience was that I was able to recognize the animators behind Walt Disney Animation’s Ralph Breaks The Internet. They are so gifted and put so much love into this project, and very few people know them as the celebrities they really are.

I chatted with Renato Dos Anjos and with Kira Lehtomaki for a long time and it was very pleasant to see their names in big bold print on the credits.

I had so much fun at the Ralph Breaks The Internet world Premiere. Ralph Breaks The Internet teaches us lessons about friendship and it is hilarious for people of all ages. I’m so grateful to my friend Marshall, who makes this possible but also supports me personally and in my marriage.

Don’t forget to SAVE THE DATE: Ralph Breaks The Internet opens in theaters everywhere on Nov. 21, 2018!
